EMDR Intensives

+ You cannot fit in sessions every. single. week.

+ weekly progress is So slow

+ You are drowning and need results, like now

+ A one hour session ends right when you Settle in

+ Sessions somehow make you feel worse, not better

A Different Approach to Therapy, Ideal for when:

Let’s try something different

EMDR Intensives just means multi-hour sessions. That’s it. That’s the sEcret Sauce.

But when you’ve struggled with “regular” therapy or counseling, found the scheduling cumbersome or find yourself deeply frustrated at very gradually seeing changes in your life…this can be an excellent option to finally see results and experience relief. You can actually make weeks’ or months’ worth of progress in a couple of days.

No More Waiting to feel better

If this appeals to you:

01

Contact me for an Intensives Consult - we’ll evaluate together if this is a good option for you. If we both agree to proceed…

02

We’ll make a plan, discuss costs and get scheduled. You’ll have a bit of homework to use our time effectively.

03

You’ll join me for your Intensives Prep session to clarify where to focus, establish goals, and set expectations

04

We’ll dive into your first EMDR Intensive session - 3-5 hours of EMDR therapy in one day, maybe for 2 or 3 days in a row. Stuff will happen.

I’m Ready. Are you?

  • The required consult call can (but is not required to) include scheduling the Intensive Prep Session as well as the Intensive Session(s) as discussed. You can reach out after this time to schedule if you prefer to wait.

Your Prep Session can take place the same day as your Intensive, with a break between for me to do further setup. For example, you could have your Prep session in the morning and then have an Intensive session that afternoon.

Intensive sessions can be 3, 4 or 5 hours long and will allow for a lunch break as applicable. These can be scheduled 2 or 3 days in a row if desired, according to your therapist’s availability.

  • EMDR Intensives with Larissa Smith, LCSW include:

    Intensive Prep session: $300/90 minutes

Intensive Therapy sessions: $175/hour with a 3 hour minimum.

  • Neither is better. They’re just different options.

That said, part of what we’ll evaluate in the consultation call is to consider any factors that might indicate what is better for you, in your current circumstances. We’ll decide that together.

  • I will, occasionally, have weekend times available for Intensive sessions, at an increased rate of $225/hour. If this is vital for you, bring it up in our consult call and we’ll consider options. Please be prepared for this to delay your scheduling.

I do not offer Intensives sessions in the evenings at this time.

  • These services require advance payment to reserve extended time slots. It is required to keep a card on file for these charges.

The Prep session must be paid in full to schedule. Additionally, half the total cost of the Intensive must be paid to schedule. These charges are non-refundable.

The remaining balance will be charged to the card on file 1 calendar week prior to your scheduled Intensive. Rescheduling is permitted with a full calendar week’s advance notice, provided the rescheduled session takes place within 2 calendar months of the original appointment (unless otherwise discussed with your therapist), or all charges will be forfeit.

Payments are made using the card on file in your client portal, managed by a secure third party, so I never have access to your payment information. You can use credit, debit, HSA, FSA - whatever you prefer. I do not charge processing or service fees.

The details of FFT’s payment policies will be available for review in your new client paperwork.

  • Unfortunately, no. There is no billing code for extended sessions accepted by insurance companies. The Prep session can be coded and might be accepted for out-of-network reimbursement, depending on your OON benefits. I cannot guarantee the success of this option but am always happy to provide a superbill or any needed documentation.
